Prayer Requests for India Trip
Final
Preparations
-Pray that
all the last minute details would fall into place and The Holy Spirit will be
even now moving in the hearts of those that will attend the gatherings.
Clarity
of Message
- Pray for
the content of my messages—that my choice of words will clearly proclaim the
truth of the gospel in a way that effectively speaks to the predominantly Hindu
audience.
- Pray for my relationship
with the interpreters—that we will communicate with each other well so that they
will effectively communicate my words to others.
Travel
- Please pray for safety
and scheduling. I will be crisscrossing southern India by plane and car on a
fairly tight time-frame. Pray that I arrive at each destination on time and in
one piece.
Health
- Adapting to foreign
cultures can take a toll on a body. Please pray that mine adjusts well.
Family
- Pray for Kendra and the
girls as they stay at home. It will be a busy time as Kendra balances work and
parenting. Thankfully, we will have grandparents visiting to help out (so pray
for them as well!).
Finances
- Pray that the budget for
the India trip will be met. Praise God—we are quite close!
General Prayer Requests
|
Devote yourselves to prayer,
being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for
our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in
chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.
Colossians 4:2-4

I always need prayer for two things—open doors for the
message and clarity of thought for me.
Practically speaking, These are the kinds of open doors I
am looking for: places to preach; host sites for open forums (colleges, coffee
shops, etc.), and more radio stations on which to broadcast my program.
Also, I think God opening doors would mean He is bringing
visitors to the meetings and forums, web-surfers to the internet sites and
listeners to the radio show, so pray for that as well.
When praying for clarity of thought, ask that I receive the
wisdom I need to know what to preach at the meetings, what to answer the
questioners at the forums, what to write on the websites what to say on the
radio.
And of course, we always need money. There is no way around
the fact that ministry costs money, especially when you venture into mass
communication. Whether holding evangelistic events, buying time on radio,
renting coffee shops or printing flyers, most of what I do will be expensive.
However, I am convinced that where God guides, God provides.
How to Donate
Thank you for praying and for giving! I know that as we
present these requests and sacrifices to God, He will answer in ways we cannot
even imagine. To Him be all the glory!
