PREACHING | TALK RADIO | INTERNET PUBLISHING

"If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not professing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved. To be steady on all battlefields besides is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point."

Martin Luther

DJEM's Philosophy of Ministry

The mission of DJEM is to boldly and creatively proclaim the Kingdom of God through various mass communication mediums. I plan to do this primarily through itinerant preaching, radio broadcasting, open forums and web and print publishing.

So why start a new ministry, and why now? Well, the short answer is that I believe I have been called to proclaim God’s Word and there is never a bad time to do that.

The longer answer is that we live in a culture in which, as Isaiah said, “Truth has stumbled in the streets” (Isaiah 59:14). People are living their lives based not on God’s revelation, but on the lies of the great deceiver. God is not glorified and His Name is not exalted. This is a problem.

You who bring good tidings to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good tidings to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah,
"Here is your God!"

Isaiah 40:9

I believe one of the reasons for this problem is that, in the battle between truth and falsehood, the father of lies has been very good at reaching people where they live, and in using mediums they accept as authoritative.

Think about it: we are bombarded with lies non-stop. From the moment we get up in the morning and flip on the radio, to the time we flip off the TV or computer at night, we are blitzed with messages that are untrue. From the professors in our classrooms to the billboards reaching into our cars on the commute, there seems to be no escaping them.

We are told that life is about money, sex, romance and emotionally thrilling experiences. We are supposed to accept unconditionally that the only things worthy of worship are power, fame, fortune and the celebrities who have them.

The twin lies that objective truth is unknowable and morality is simply a preference have become pervasive.

In regards to religion, cultural orthodoxy explains to us that God is whatever you want him to be and that religion is a private, subjective matter, best suited not for explaining truths about reality, but for providing therapy.

I want to help change all that.

I want to proclaim to as many people as possible, through the most effective means possible, that life is about God. He is Lord over this planet and King of the Universe and we will all bow before Him, sooner or later.

I want to expose Satan’s lies for what they are and get people to question their false beliefs. I want people to set their lives upon the Rock, not waste them building on shifting sand.

I think that is only going to happen if someone tells it to them clearly, through mediums that they accept as authoritative—the same mediums that carry them the lies. I want to be someone who does just that.

See our Ministry Strategy page for details as to how this will happen.
